Trip advisor master class in Manchester was a self gratifying exercise to show everybody how good they are, it didn’t work. Most of the delegates that attended had some very common complaints. Why is Trip advisor so hard to contact? Then when we do contact them why is nothing done about the issues raised. Another frequent complaint was; how can I get false reviews taken off? They never stayed here or the truth has been distorted, where some of the issues that arose. Some bed and breakfast and hotel owners’ properties had been categorised incorrectly or placed in the wrong location. The advice of Trip Advisors’ representatives’ advice was, to advise members to check their listing under the owners tab and to inform them if it was incorrect. The audience repose was laughter.Question time had to be stopped as it over run the schedule. So for those of you who would like to contact them, 020 3318 5019 or free phone 0800 098 8460 or ownerhelp@tripadvisor.com Yes they are concerns about the issues that were raised; I am sure it is not easy especially when 21 reviews are posted every minute to the site. Management strive to post responses within 2 days, but are required to read every posting before uploading to the website. However, they need to be more contact friendly and listen to the people, responding accordingly.
